Karunakaran has had a release and is directing for the first time. Karunakaran is very popular for his love and family entertainers and Tej I Love you seems to be no exception from the pre-release buzz. During his young age, Tej commits a murder while trying to save a lady, Lakshmi, from being raped. As Lakshmi flees the country after the incident, she fails to help Tej get justice in the court of law and he ends up spending seven years of his childhood in jail. Nandini is an NRI girl who gets acquainted with Tej and the band. Gradually, the get to know each other but Nandini meets with an accident. She loses her memory and can only recognize her father, after which the film explores the relationship between Nandini and Tej. What Works: The protagonists in Karunakaran movies tend to have an image makeover and get close to the family audience; Sai Dharam Tej is no exception. The whole movie revolves around her character.
